Assignment #1: Interface vs. Functionality
Introduction to Human/Computer Interaction
CS 5540/6540
DUE: 10 Sep 2008 (11:59 pm)
General Task:
In teams of two, discuss the difference between
interface and functionality. Come together on a definition of
both that clearly explains the distinction.
EACH team member should think of real-world examples that
demonstrate the above definitions of interface and
functionality in a positive a negative way, that is, examples
of good and bad interface, and good and poor functionality.
Include images of the examples and annotate those images where
necessary. Also, write a paragraph discussing why you chose
that specific example with respect to interface and
functionality.
Report on your discussion using this
presentation file.
Requirements:
By the project due date, turn in your .ppt file
to cs5540 assign1. Be sure to put the names of
both team members on the introduction page of the presentation
slides as well as on the examples chose by each member. The
file only needs to be handed in by one of the team members.
