Working together in a teams of two, analyze the University of Utah website: <www.utah.edu> .
With respect to the needs of various classes of users <partial list> of the University of Utah webpage, as discussed in class,
- Provide a trenchant but succinct critical, comparative analysis of the main University of Utah website portal. Evaluate the website relative to several of the characteristics we have discussed in the course, and others that occur to you. For example, consider i) attractive/inviting/appealing, ii) ease of use, iii) comprehensiveness, iv) consistency, v) layout, vi) structure, vii) convenience, viii) usefulness, ix) internationalism, x) etc.
In discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the Utah website's design and functionality, make use of each of the below websites at least once. Many of them have random pages so it is important to reload a couple of times to get a representative sampling of the multiple images on the website.
- Also remark on where the principle of three is exhibited or ignored in the Utah website, as well as all the ones in the table below.
- Pick and state a specific task as a basis of comparison among the various sites you select to contrast a i) specific user class and ii) evaluation characteristic. Indicate how well each webside in your comparison group served the tested purpose. Suggest ways in which you would improve the interface, as well as aspects of the interface that you think work well. Consider what has been discussed in class to support your opinions. Use annotated screen shots to illustrate your views.
Team members should collaborate to produce a single, combined analysis rather than separate, parallel and individual reports.By the project due date, turn in a .pdf file to cs5540 assign5. Be sure to put the names of both team members on the introduction. Only handed-in once under either team member's name.
